Spring Break Camp: April 2018

Spend your spring break with Humane Society of West Michigan's shelter pets during our Spring Break Camp! Each day will focus on a different companion animal at our shelter, games, crafts and lots of fun!

  • 9AM-4PM (after care is available for an additional fee)

  • Ages: 7-12

  • $125 per camper (additional sibling discount $10 off)

Summer Camp: Summer 2018 

Humane Society of West Michigan offers an unforgettable learning experience with our Summer Camp Program! Summer camp is a great place for your child to spend their summer learning, growing and having a fun filled experience that will leave a lasting impression! 

Registration Opens April 2018

Camp Pet Pals: An engaging camp for animal lovers to learn about companion pets filled with activities, games, crafts, guest speakers and animal interaction time.

  • June 18-22: Ages 5-7
  • June 25-29: Ages 8-10
  • August 20-24: Ages 8-10

Animal Planet: Each day this camp will be filled with animal interaction time, activities, games and crafts geared toward a variety of animals from our planet.

  • July 23-27: Ages 8-10
  • August 13-17: Ages 8-10

Animal Academy: Students who are interested in learning about how to care for animals can engage in enrichment training, agility training, and other animal activities for dogs, cats and small animals.

  • July 16-20: Ages 8-14

Vet Camp: Students who are seriously interested in a career in veterinary science can engage in hands on activities, watch a live surgery, hear from guest speakers and enjoy animal interaction time.

  • July 9-13 AM Session (9Am-Noon): Ages 12-17

Critter Career: Students who are seriously interested in pursuing an animal related career can engage in activities, games, animal interaction time, crafts and hear from guest speakers who work with animals.

  • July 9-13 PM Session (1PM-4PM): Ages 12-17

Media Mutts: This camp offers a variety of multimedia fun for campers who enjoy art and theatre. Each day will be filled with crafts, games, skits and animal interaction time.

  • July 30-August 3: Ages 10-14

Junior Camp Counselor

Students between the ages of 15-17 can volunteer their time to earn service learning hours. Students should be interested in gaining experience working as a team, helping children between the ages of 5-12 and working with shelter animals. 

Registration for Junior Camp Counselors will open in April
